No dogs accept service dogs.

We love pets as much as anyone else but we are unable to accomodate them at our Festival. We ask that you kindly abide by this rule for the sake of all the other campers and festival patrons.

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are the lifeblood of any Festival and Eaglewood is no exception. All of our volunteers are treated with the utmost respect and their time and effort is greatly appreciated by both the Festival Board and it's patrons.

Listed below are the Volunteer Opportunities and Guide Lines.

Student Volunteers
All Student Volunteers will receive a letter stating the number of hours they worked. They must be 15 years old, provide their own transportation to and from the Festival and be pre registered as a volunteer by July 31. They must commit to at least 6 hours of service a day, in order to get a letter, but they can work as many hours as they wish. They will receive two meal tickets for each day they work during the Festival.

We can accept last minute volunteers if they fill out an application and we can find them a duty.

We can accept younger volunteers age 12-14 but they must work with a parent or another adult in a "helper" capacity.

Organizational Volunteers (Guides, Scouts, Service Clubs)
We welcome community groups who wish to volunteer to work as a team and take care of one area or responsibility for the festival. Currently, the Pathfinders are doing a fine job of running the Children's Area. We would welcome other Community groups to take care of other areas, such as committing to cook a meal and clean up afterwards.

Four Hour - One-day Volunteer
This volunteer works for a total of four hours of the day or evening doing a specific job in one area. In return for their time they will receive one meal ticket and pass to the festival for that day.

Six Hour - One-day Volunteer
This volunteer works for a total of six hours of the day. The time may be divided into two shifts and may be in two different areas. In return for their time they will receive two meal tickets and pass to the festival for that day.

Weekend Volunteer
This volunteer works four hours each day of the festival for a total of twelve hours. They may work in different areas or do all three shifts in the same area. In return for their time, they will receive one meal ticket for each day and they may camp for free in the designated volunteer area. If they have friends camping with them, who are not volunteering, these friends will be charged for camping. Weekend Volunteers can get two meal tickets for Saturday and Sunday if they commit to working six hours on those days.

Pre and Post Festival Volunteer
This volunteer works for eighteen hours before and after festival hours. For example: gate or parking duty on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning. In return for their time, they will receive one meal ticket for Friday and two meal tickets for Saturday and Sunday and they may camp for free in the designated volunteer area. If they have friends camping with them, who are not volunteering, these friends will be charged for camping.

Volunteers in this category must make arrangements to be on site by Thursday or Friday morning and or remain on site for Monday clean up. Pre and Post Festival Volunteer opportunities are limited and anyone wishing to make this commitment must speak with the Volunteer Co-ordinator, so you can be scheduled in areas that need jobs done. There are no meals provided for hours worked on Thursday or Monday.

Unfortunately, Eaglewood Folk Festival cannot afford to provide meals to the spouses or children of volunteers but arrangements can be made in advance of the festival to "purchase" meal tickets for children and spouses.
